When to observe the last Pradosh fast of 2025?
According to the Panchang, the Trayodashi date of Krishna Paksha of Paush month will start from 11:57 pm on Tuesday, 16 December and will continue till 02:32 pm on Wednesday, 17 December. Since the sunrise of Trayodashi Tithi will be on 17th December and this Tithi will remain throughout the day, hence Pradosh Vrat will be observed on this day. If this fast is observed on Wednesday, it will be called Budh Pradosh.

17 December 2025 Pradosh Vrat auspicious time
On Wednesday, December 17, the puja time of Pradosh Vrat will be from 05:27 pm to 08:11 pm, that is, you will get full 02 hours 44 minutes time for puja. During this time you can worship Lord Shiva anytime.
Budh Pradosh fast-worship method
– On 17th December, Wednesday, wake up early in the morning, take bath etc. and take a pledge to fast and worship with water, rice and flowers in your hand. Follow the rules of fasting throughout the day with a true heart.
– Make preparations for the puja before the auspicious time. When the auspicious time starts, first of all install Shivling and start worshiping it. First offer water to Shivling, then anoint it with milk.
– Once again offer water to Shivling. After this, light a lamp of pure ghee. After this, offer Bilva leaves, Dhatura, Datika flowers, etc. things one by one on Shivling.
– While worshiping Shivalinga, keep chanting the mantra Om Namah Shivay in your mind. Also offer white clothes to Lord Shiva and finally offer as per your wish.
– After the puja, perform Aarti of God as per the rituals. By worshiping in this way, Mahadev fulfills every wish of his devotee. It also removes the problems that come in life.
