Dacoit vs Love Insurance Kompany Box Office Preview: The South Indian film industry is excited to witness a major clash this week as two highly anticipated projects, Dacoit A Love Story and Love Insurance Kompany (LIK), prepare to hit theatres on April 10, 2026. Both films are showing strong momentum on the ticket-booking platform BookMyShow (BMS).
Dacoit A Love Story Advance Booking
Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s gritty romance, Dacoit, is described as a toxic love story. On April 7, the film recorded a steady 8.35K ticket sales in advance. However, as the release date approached, sales spiked. By 10 PM on April 8, the film added 17K tickets, bringing its total pre-sales to 25.35K.
Adivi Sesh is known for delivering hits like Major, but his co-star Mrunal Thakur is looking for a comeback after recent struggles. Interestingly, Mrunal Thakur stepped into the role after Shruti Haasan exited the project due to creative differences. The film’s delay from its original March date to avoid Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 seems to have paid off by providing a clearer release window.
LIK Advance Booking
Meanwhile, Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) is showing phenomenal trends. The film saw a massive 330% growth in 24 hours. Starting with a modest 5.53K sales on April 7, it added 23.9K tickets by the following evening, taking its total to 29.34K. Industry experts believe LIK is comfortably on track to become the second-biggest Tamil opener of 2026, easily overtaking Youth (Rs 3.65 crore) and Thaai Kizhavi (Rs 2.65 crore). The real challenge lies in beating the Rs 12.35 crore opening day record held by Parasakthi.
Directed by Vignesh Shivan and featuring a star-studded cast including S.J. Suryah and Krithi Shetty, the film explores time travel through a mobile gadget. With music by Anirudh and a strong lead Pradeep Ranganathan, LIK is poised for a potentially double-digit opening day.
