Pan-Indian star Prabhas’s much-anticipated action entertainer ‘Fauzi’ is set to hit screens worldwide on March 19, 2027. The film’s teaser, released on Prabhas’s birthday, offers a glimpse into its intriguing plot.
Earlier slated for a December 3 release this year, the film’s new date was announced by director Hanu Raghavapudi.
The teaser dramatically portrays Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s meeting with Adolf Hitler in Berlin during World War II. When Hitler dismisses India’s fight for freedom, citing centuries of British rule, Bose counters by highlighting the intelligence and resilience of Indians. He references ‘Fauzi’ (played by Prabhas), a brilliant Indian spy whose strategic prowess was instrumental in the Japanese capturing Singapore from the British.
Bose further reveals that Fauzi developed an unbreakable code based on the Bhagavad Gita, a code even the British admitted was more complex than Germany’s Enigma. The British, unable to identify him by his birth name, simply referred to him as ‘Fauzi’. This historical backdrop, combined with a thrilling espionage narrative, has generated significant buzz among fans. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, known for ‘Sita Ramam’, and featuring Imanvi, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhanu Chander, and Jayapradha, ‘Fauzi’ promises a grand cinematic experience with music by Vishal Chandrasekhar and cinematography by Sudeep Chatterjee. The film explores human emotions and socio-political tensions of the British era, drawing philosophical inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita.
