Prabhas has been simultaneously working on two major projects – “Fauji” and “Spirit”.
Recently, “Spirit”, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, resumed shooting with Prabhas joining the latest schedule.
Vanga is reportedly determined to complete the film on time and stick to its planned March 2027 release.
That brings the focus back to “Fauji”. What exactly is the status of the Hanu Raghavapudi directorial?
As per the original plan, “Fauji” was slated for a Summer 2026 release. However, the film was later pushed to Dasara and subsequently to December.
In recent months, rumors have surfaced about production delays, with reports claiming that the schedules of several actors were affected and that the film might not even make it to theaters this year.
However, sources indicate that the production house remains committed to releasing the film in 2026 while ensuring top-notch quality.
The makers are said to be working towards completing the remaining portions without further postponements.
Another key factor is the film’s OTT agreement
According to industry sources, the deal is structured around a 2026 theatrical release. Any shift to 2027 could reportedly lead to a reduction in the OTT valuation
Considering these factors, Prabhas is unlikely to allow the production to stretch indefinitely.
The team is now focused on wrapping up the film and ensuring that “Fauji” arrives in theaters before the end of 2026.
