Prabhas is gearing up to entertain audiences in his upcoming film, The Raja Saab, a horror comedy drama that has been creating steady buzz.
Directed by Maruthi, the big-budget entertainer is slated for a grand theatrical release on January 9, 2026. Recently, a report claims that the film has received a U/A certificate.
According to 123 Telugu, the movie has wrapped up its censor formalities with about 183 minutes (3 hours and 3 minutes). It is said that the movie received a U/A certificate from CBFC. Recently, the makers released second song Sahana Sahana which immediately went viral. The Telugu version of the song has already crossed an impressive 10 million views, clearly reflecting the unmatched craze surrounding Prabhas and his upcoming release. The song showcases stunning visuals and beautifully captures the sizzling chemistry between Prabhas and Nidhhi Agerwal. Its catchy tune and heartfelt lyrics make it instantly addictive, further elevated by well-crafted choreography. The track’s music has been composed by Thaman S, while the vocals are lent by Vishal Mishra, Thaman S, and Sruthi Ranjani. The lyrics have been penned by Krishna Kanth.

The cast includes Prabhas in dual roles, Malavika Mohanan (making her Telugu debut), Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Nayanthara in a special song. Several actresses, including Raashii Khanna and Sreeleela, were considered before finalizing Malavika, Nidhhi, and Riddhi as the three lead actresses.
The Raja Saab is directed by the renowned Maruthi, who is considered a pioneer in the horror-comedy genre in Telugu cinema. The film is produced by Viswa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner. He appears shocked by the visions that unfold, showing eerie creatures and a haunted mansion. Sanjay Dutt’s character is introduced by Boman Irani as an “exorcist, psychiatrist, and hypnotist.” Prabhas prepares to confront Dutt’s character, even referencing Star Wars humorously. The trailer concludes with Prabhas’ older avatar, hinting at his role as the evil grandfather, while Zareena Wahab plays his grandmother.
