Prabhas decides to take break from industry after success of Salaar | Know why

New Delhi: After the Box Office success of Salaar, South star Prabhas appears to be in a relaxed state of mind. The 44-year-old actor has reportedly decided to step away from the spotlight and take a brief hiatus from the industry.

 

According to a hindustantimes.com report, the Baahubali star is deeply moved by the overwhelming response to his recent release and he now wants to take a break to reassess how he plans to take his career forward. It is to be noted that, prior to Salaar, Prabhas had back-to-back setbacks on the silver screen.

The insider further revealed that Prabhas will be resuming work in the month of March 2024. It is also being said that health will be his top priority during the break.

The Prashanth Neel directorial, which was released in theatres on December 22, 2023, is said to have grossed Rs 481.5 crore in India. The film raked in Rs 615.5 crore worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Salaar featured Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Tinnu Anand, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and Ramachandra Raju in important roles. It was made on a whopping budget of Rs 250-270 crore.

You will be amazed to know that Salaar emerged as the 11th highest-grossing Indian film of all time. Its plot was set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar. The storyline of the movie revolves around the friendship between a tribesman and the prince of Khansaar. Things take an unexpected turn when a coup d’état takes place in the state.
