Putrada Ekadashi Puja
In Hindu religion, children are considered a blessing from God. According to the scriptures, having a child It does not depend only on physical efforts, but the person’s previous deeds, virtues and divine grace also play an important role in it. For this reason, on the occasion of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi, to be celebrated on 30 December 2025, there is a tradition of chanting special mantras and following worship rituals for having a child as mentioned in the scriptures, which if performed with devotion and regularly, are believed to yield positive results. It is said in religious texts that worshiping Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati is considered especially fruitful for having children. There is mention of some special mantras in the scriptures for having a child, chanting them with devotion and regularly is believed to yield auspicious results. Om Krishnaya Vidmahe Damodaraya Dhimahi Tanno Vishnu Prachodayat Mantra is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is considered effective for wishing happiness for children. Santan Gopal Mantra Devki Sut Govind Vasudev Jagatpate is chanted to get the blessings of the child form of Lord Krishna. Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vicchai Mantra is associated with Shakti worship and is used to remove obstacles related to children. According to the scriptures, chanting these mantras with a pure mind and virtuous conduct gives positive results.
Special rituals for couples
According to religious scholars, couples wishing to have children should perform puja together. After taking bath in the morning, wear clean clothes and purify the place of worship. Install the idol of Lord Vishnu or Bal Gopal and light a lamp. After this offer Tulsi leaves, flowers, fruits and naivedya. During the puja, both husband and wife should chant Santan Gopal Mantra or Vedic Santan Mantra together. In the scriptures, chanting 108 times as the number of chanting has been considered auspicious. After this, pray humbly to God.
