Porsche has launched a new limited-run Design Package for the Macan SUV in India. Priced at Rs 96.05 lakh (ex-showroom), the special edition package will be offered at no additional cost to the first 30 customers.
Following the introductory offer, existing Macan owners and new buyers interested in the Design Package will have to shell out an additional Rs 7.5 lakh over the standard price.
The Design Package adds a host of cosmetic upgrades, both inside and out. Exterior upgrades include LED puddle lamps, coloured hub caps, tinted LED tail-lamps, a sportier exhaust system, black ORVMs, and a fresh set of alloy wheels. It also features a Sports Design Package that brings redesigned front and rear aprons along with body-coloured side skirts. Inside the cabin, the Macan Design Package adds a black gear knob and Porsche’s Carbon Interior Package, which brings carbon-fibre inserts on the dashboard and door panels, lending a sportier feel to the cabin.
Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 265 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The Macan can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. In India, the Porsche Macan competes with premium mid-size luxury SUVs such as the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Volvo XC60.
