Pooja Gor on ‘Journey of Legacy’: ‘Every University We Visited Had Its Own Personality’

Actress Pooja Gor is set to return to the non-fiction genre as the host of ‘Journey of Legacy’, a long-form documentary series created and produced by Manish KR, founder and CEO of Tanza Talks.

Speaking about the upcoming series, Pooja said what attracted her to the project was its focus on the people who dream, build and lead educational institutions, shaping their growth and legacy over the years.

“What stayed with me while making the show wasn’t just the scale of these universities, but the small, human moments behind them. A conversation with a student, a story from a teacher, or hearing a founder speak about a challenge they once faced can tell you more about a university than any number ever could,” she said.

Pooja also highlighted how each institution they visited during the shoot had its own identity, history and people who contributed to its journey.

“As a host, I’m excited to step into these worlds, discover stories I didn’t expect to find, meet the people behind them and take audiences along on that journey,” she said.

“I think that is what makes ‘Journey of Legacy’ so special — these are not simply stories about universities; they are stories about people, dreams, perseverance and the journeys that turn them into legacies,” she added.

The first season of the documentary has been filmed at several educational institutions across the country, including DIT University in Dehradun, Bennett University in Greater Noida, SAGE University and LNCT in Bhopal, Quantum University in Roorkee, and VGU in Jaipur, among others.

Each episode seeks to explore the distinctive journey of an institution through the experiences of its founders, education leaders, faculty members and students.

The series will also examine themes such as entrepreneurship, leadership, resilience, student aspirations and the evolving role of universities in India, offering audiences a closer look at the people and experiences behind these educational institutions.
