He was diagnosed with schizophrenia in the year 1997. She told how, when she was pregnant with Alaya F, she was afraid of his reaction to the news.

Pooja revealed that brother Siddharth’s death was a huge shock. She said that when Siddharth passed away, Papa Kabir Bedi was with him in America, and it was very difficult for him, especially to enter the room and see that tragedy, that was a moment which I could not even imagine.

Pooja further said, ‘He tried to calm me down. I wanted to remain calm for the sake of the child growing in my stomach. I did not want this shock to cause an abortion or have any impact on my child. I remained positive. I loved and missed him very much, but I knew that his journey was over and mine was yet to continue. Pooja revealed that Sidharth had left messages for the family in his last note, which included a very sweet message for him and Alaya and a note for their mother.

Reminiscing about their childhood relationship, Pooja revealed that she and Sidharth were no different from each other, sharing everything, even the same bedroom and sometimes the same toothbrush. He further added that they had similar friends, liked the same food and both studied in the same boarding school.
