On the occasion of Chhath festival, CM Nitish Kumar reached Chirag Paswan’s house to eat the Prasad of Kharna. This meeting seemed to end the political bitterness between the two leaders. This is being seen as a sign of strength in the NDA alliance before the 2025 elections.
Patna: Chhath Mahaparv, the great festival of faith and purity, is now adding new heat to the political circles of Bihar. On the second day of Chhath, during the sacred ritual of Kharna, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took a step that became the center of discussion in political circles. On Sunday evening, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the residence of Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan and accepted Kharna Prasad there.
CM laughed and said- ‘We have come to see you’
With the arrival of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, an atmosphere of excitement was created at Chirag Paswan’s residence. Chirag Paswan himself warmly welcomed the Chief Minister at the gate. During this time, the old bitterness between the two leaders seemed to be ending and they appeared completely comfortable.
Seeing Chirag Paswan, the Chief Minister laughed and said, “We have come to see you.” Hearing this light statement of the Chief Minister, Chirag Paswan and his relatives also smiled. This political meeting not only gave the message of strength in the alliance, but also showed the softening of personal relations between the two leaders. During this, Chirag Paswan, his mother and other family members welcomed the Chief Minister and presented him Angavastra. The relatives also happily posed for photographs with Nitish Kumar.
Political analysts are considering this meeting as a positive step towards strengthening trust and harmony within the NDA alliance just before the Bihar Assembly elections 2025. In the past, there have been serious political differences between the two leaders, which have been resolved under the pretext of the festival.
Chhath glow at Chief Minister’s residence too

The Chief Minister’s relatives, including his niece, nephew and Sirhaj, are observing Chhath fast. This year the Chief Minister’s sister-in-law is not fasting.
Special arrangements have been made for the Arghya of Chhath Puja in the Chief Minister’s residence complex itself. During this, the Chief Minister has wished the state and the countrymen for the great festival. He said, “This great festival of folk faith is a festival of self-discipline, in which people offer Arghya to the setting and rising Lord Sun with a pure conscience and pure mind. On the occasion of the great festival Chhath, we pray to Lord Bhaskar for the progress, happiness, peace and prosperity of the state.”
