Vice President Election 2025: BJP -led NDA (National Democratic Alliance) has nominated Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan for the Vice Presidential election. On Sunday evening, BJP President JP Nadda made the announcement in a press conference. Said, “We want the next Vice President to be unanimously elected. We have approached opposition leaders.”

- CP Radhakrishnan was born in Tamil Nadu. He has been serving as the Governor of Maharashtra since July last year.
- Radhakrishnan, 68, was the Governor of Jharkhand from February 2023 to July 2024. He also took over the additional charge of Telangana Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry between March and July 2024.
- After becoming the Governor of Jharkhand in 2023, he traveled to all 24 districts of the state in four months. During this time, he interacted with the local people and the district officials.
