Terrorist module busted in Faridabad. Dr. Muzammil and Adil Rather arrested in joint operation of Haryana and J&K Police. 360 kg of explosives, weapons and IED making materials were recovered.
Faridabad: Faridabad Police on Tuesday questioned the students, principal and faculty members of Haryana’s Al Falah University who worked with Dr Muzammil. Following the arrest of Dr Muzammil on Monday morning in connection with running an alleged terror module in Faridabad, the Faridabad Police have detained six people and are interrogating them about the terror module. The arrested accused was a doctor at Al-Falah University in Faridabad, Haryana.
Faridabad Police said, “Faridabad Police interrogated the students, principal and faculty members who worked with Dr. Muzammil at Al Falah University. More than 52 people were questioned. Faridabad Police has detained six people and is interrogating them about the terror module.” In a major breakthrough on Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Police along with Haryana Police recovered 360 kg of suspected ammonium nitrate and 2,900 kg of IED-making material, including chemicals, detonators and wires, from an apartment in Faridabad. Dr. Muzammil and Adil Rather were arrested in this case. According to sources, officials suspect that the Delhi blast and the recovery in Faridabad could be part of a larger terrorist network spread across the states.
What did Dr. Muzammil Shakeel’s mother say…
The mother of Pulwama doctor Muzammil Shakeel, arrested in the Faridabad arms recovery case, on Tuesday denied the allegations against her son and said that the family is not being allowed to meet him. Shakeel’s mother Naseema said that she wants her son to be released. He left home about four years ago. He was working as a doctor in Delhi. During this time we had no information about him. When he was arrested, we came to know from others. We tried to meet him, but the police did not allow us to meet. My other son has also been arrested. They are saying that my son is a suspect in the Delhi blasts. I don’t know anything about this. I just want both my sons to be released.
Muzammil’s brother Azad Shakeel argued that his brother had been working as a doctor for the last three years and expressed concern over not being allowed to meet him. Allegations are being made against him that some items have been recovered from him. He has been a doctor in Delhi for the last 3 years. We are not being allowed to meet him. He came home twice every year. He is not married.

Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered around 360 kg of inflammable substance and ammunition from Faridabad in Haryana and arrested two accused, Dr Muzammil and Adil Rather. Adil Ahmed Rather was arrested from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. On Monday, when Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered IED-making material and ammunition from Faridabad in Haryana, Police Commissioner Satinder Kumar Gupta explained in detail about the joint operation between J&K Police and Haryana Police. “This is an ongoing joint operation between Haryana Police and JK Police. One accused, Dr. Muzammil, has been caught. Yesterday, 360 kg of inflammable substance was recovered, which is probably ammonium nitrate. It is not RDX. The operation is still going on.
