Poco India has started teasing a new smartphone launch, and all signs point toward the Poco X8 Pro series. The brand shared a post on X that reads, “Smart minds will wait for the smarter phone.
They don’t rush. So shouldn’t you. #POCO.”
The teaser image adds another hint: “People with high IQ will wait for what’s coming neXt!” Notably, the “X” in “neXt” is capitalized, which appears to reference the X series directly.
While the company hasn’t officially confirmed the name yet, the timing and the emphasis on “X” suggest the Poco X8 Pro lineup could be next.
Poco X8 Series India Launch Timeline
The official teaser has already gone live, indicating that the launch is near. Based on available details, the Poco X8 series is expected to debut in India around early March.
Two models are likely to arrive: Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max.
Poco X8 Pro: What We Know So Far
The Poco X8 Pro is tipped to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset. A Geekbench listing for the global variant revealed Android 16 and 12GB RAM as one of the configurations.
Display details point to a 6.59-inch panel, and the device is said to pack a 7,560mAh battery. Other highlighted features include an IP69 rating, 100W charging support, a metal frame, and a 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED display.
In terms of cameras, the configuration mentioned includes a 50MP + 8MP rear setup and a 20MP front camera.
Poco X8 Pro Max: Bigger Display, Larger Battery
The Poco X8 Pro Max is expected to step things up with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor.
It may feature a larger 6.83-inch display and an 8,500mAh battery. Like the Pro variant, it is also tipped to include IP69 protection, 100W charging, a metal frame, a 1.5K 120Hz flat OLED panel, 12GB RAM, Android 16, and a 50MP + 8MP rear camera setup with a 20MP selfie camera.
So far, the Pro Max model number has appeared on India’s BIS certification, further suggesting an India launch.
