POCO F7 With Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and 12GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench Ahead of India Launch

POCO is getting ready to unveil its next F-series flagship, and if early benchmarks and teasers are anything to go by, the POCO F7 is shaping up to be a performance-focused mid-premium phone.

With an official announcement expected later this month, the upcoming device has already made its way to Geekbench, revealing key specifications.

Benchmark Scores Reveal Early Tuning

The POCO F7 recently appeared on , posting a single-core score of 1937 and a multi-core score of 6021. These scores are a notch below those of the iQOO Neo 10, which uses the same Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and scored 2093 and 6836, respectively. While that might suggest a slightly lower performance ceiling, it’s important to note that raw numbers don’t always tell the full story.

Smartphone manufacturers often tweak performance profiles to manage heat, preserve battery, or prioritize sustained performance over short bursts. Given POCO’s emphasis on thermal control in past devices, this could be a deliberate move.

Only 12GB RAM Variants Expected

One thing that appears set in stone is the RAM configuration. According to a recent X poll by POCO India head Himanshu Tandon, over 80% of users prefer 12GB RAM on their next device. In line with this, the Geekbench listing also confirms 12GB of RAM.

This makes it likely that the POCO F7 will launch in 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB configurationsskipping the lower 8GB tier altogether.

Display Upgrades and Design Break From Redmi Roots

Visually, the F7 might chart its own course. Tandon has hinted that the phone’s design will differ from its Chinese counterpart, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro. Leaked images suggest a new chassis style and a reworked camera housing, signaling a possible attempt by POCO to carve out a more distinct identity.

The display is also expected to see upgrades. According to leaks, the POCO F7 will feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel, larger than the 6.67-inch screen on the F6. Peak brightness could hit 3,200 nits, which would be a significant step up from the previous model’s 2400-nit limit.

Battery and Charging

If the leaks are accurate, the POCO F7 could pack a 7,550mAh battery, which would make it one of the largest batteries on any mainstream phone this year. The device is also rumored to support 90W wired charging, enough to fully juice the phone in under 45 minutes under optimal conditions.

To keep things running cool, POCO is expected to deploy a 6000 mm² dual-loop 3D ice cooling system, likely similar to what we’ve seen in gaming-centric phones.

Camera

In terms of imaging, the POCO F7 may feature a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary sensor, the same one found on the iQOO Neo 10. This would be paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens, sticking to the dual-camera layout seen in recent POCO models.

India Launch Imminent, Global Rollout to Follow

While POCO has yet to confirm an official launch date, all signs point to a late June India debut, followed by a global rollout shortly after.
