PMJVK: New strength to minority communities from the inclusive development model of Yogi government. Pmjvk Update Uttar Pradesh Yogi Government Minority Development Schemes Approved

Under the PMJVK scheme, projects worth Rs 364 crore have been approved for the development of minority communities in Uttar Pradesh. Inclusive development is being strengthened by focus on education, health, skills, sports and women and child welfare.

Lucknow. Through Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram (PMJVK), effective implementation of schemes is being continuously done for the overall development of minority communities in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, various development projects worth about Rs 364 crore have been approved for minority communities like Sikh, Jain, Buddhist and Muslim.

These projects are related to important sectors like education, health, skill development, sports, women and child welfare, urban and rural development. In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of inclusive development, the weaker sections of the society in the state are being given better opportunities to move forward with basic facilities.

Special focus on education and health in minority dominated areas

Under the PMJVK programme, expansion of education and health facilities in minority dominated areas has been given highest priority. Rs 114.14 crore has been approved for 10 projects of the Health Department, which will strengthen hospitals and health services.

In the education sector, projects worth Rs 12.78 crore for secondary education, Rs 42.53 crore for technical education, Rs 27.88 crore for medical education and Rs 25.02 crore for vocational education have been approved. Apart from this, Rs 24.98 crore has been approved for projects related to Unani medicine.

Skill development of minority youth and expansion of sports facilities.

With the aim of making the minority youth of the state self-reliant, Rs 5.92 crore has been approved for skill development. Along with this, projects worth Rs 64.22 crore have been approved through the Sports and Youth Welfare Department to increase physical and sports capacity. With these efforts, minority youth will get an opportunity to connect with employment and advance their talents.

Promotion of women, child welfare and urban-rural development

Rs 7.79 crore has been sanctioned for projects related to women and child development, which will strengthen the nutrition, security and welfare of women and children. Rs 22.12 crore has been sanctioned for 6 projects of the Urban Development Department for the development of basic facilities in minority dominated urban areas. Whereas, approval of Rs 3.94 crore has been given for 2 projects of Panchayati Raj Department in rural areas.

Support to livelihood through agriculture, cooperation and dairy development

Rs 10.15 crore has been sanctioned for 3 projects of the Agriculture and Cooperation Department to strengthen the livelihood of minority communities. Along with this, projects worth Rs 1.92 crore have also been approved for the Milk Development Department. The successful implementation of all these projects under the PMJVK program is strengthening the overall development of minority communities and realizing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s concept of inclusive development.
