New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed concern about singer Asha Bhosle’s health. The singer is currently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, after reportedly suffering some cardiac issues and an infection.

Following the news of the hospitalisation of the 92-year-old singer, PM Modi took to ‘X’ to express his concerns. He wrote in a post, “Deeply concerned to hear that Asha Bhosle Ji has been admitted to hospital. Praying for her good health and a speedy recovery.”

On Saturday, the veteran singer’s granddaughter Zanai Bhosle informed everyone about the hospitalisation. In a social media post she said that Bhosale was admitted to hospital due to chest infection and exhaustion.
The 92-year-old is admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in South Mumbai. Sources quoted by PTI said that Bhosale remains in a critical condition. She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest and also other pulmonary complications on Saturday and had to be rushed to the hospital.
