PM Narendra Modi Odisha Visit: Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of more than Rs 60,000 crore development projects in Odisha on Saturday, 27 September. These include Telecom, Railways, Higher Education, Skill Development, Health and Rural Housing.
PM modi odisha visit today: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jharsuguda in Odisha on Saturday today. During this time, he will lay the foundation stone and inauguration of development works worth more than Rs 60,000 crore. These projects include areas such as Telecom, Railways, Higher Education, Health, Skill Development and Rural Housing. The Prime Minister will also address the general public on this occasion.
Odisha gifts in telecom sector
Prime Minister Modi will launch more than 97,500 4G towers, which have cost about Rs 37,000 crore. It includes over 92,600 towers by BSNL, 18,900 towers under Digital India Fund, connecting around 26,700 distant and LWE affected villages, benefiting 2 million new subscribers. All these towers are operating solar energy and will become India’s largest green telecom network.
Foundation of railway projects
Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedication of several railway projects. These include Sambalpur-Sarala railway flyover, Dabbling of Koraput-Baguda Line and Maanabar-Koraaput-Gorabur line. PM Amrit will also flag off the Bharat Express, which will run from Barhampur to Udana (Surat). It will promote tourism, employment and business and provide cheap and comfortable travel facilities.
Education and skill development projects
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of 8 IITS (Tirupati, Palakkad, Bhilai, Jammu, Dharwad, Jodhpur, Patna and Indore). The total investment will be Rs 11,000 crore. This will increase seats for 10,000 new students in the next 4 years, 8 research parks will be made, which will strengthen innovation and R&D. Apart from this, 275 state engineering and polytechnic institutions will be started to promote quality, research and innovation under the Merite Scheme.
Odisha Skill Development Project Phase II
Odisha Skill Development Project Phase II is now running at full speed. World Skill Centers are being prepared in Barhampur and Sambhalpur, where training will be given in sectors like Agritech, Renewable Energy, Retail, Margin and Hospitality. In addition, 5 ITIS will be upgraded and 25 ITIs will be made Center of Excellence. Students will also get modern technical training through the new Principal Engineering Building. There is also a big initiative in the Digital Education sector. In the 130 Higher Education Institution, free data will be provided to 2.5 lakh students through Wi-Fi facility, so that they will be able to take full advantage of online learning.
World Class Faculties in Health Sector
The work of bringing world class facility in Odisha is going on fast in the healthcare sector. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, MKCG Medical College, Barhampur and Vimsar, Sambhalpur will be converted to Super-Specialty Hospital. Under this project, the number of beds will be increased and facilities like trauma care, dental colleges, maternal and infant care will be made available. Also, academic infrastructure will also be developed, so that quality in both medical education and healthcare can improve.
Poor and weaker sections are pucca houses under rural housing
Large initiatives are being taken for the poor and weaker sections in the field of rural housing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will give approval letters to 50,000 beneficiaries under Antyodaya Griha Yojana. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be given pucca houses and financial assistance will also be given.
