Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to give a big gift to the farmers before Diwali. Today i.e. on October 11, 2025, new schemes worth Rs 42 thousand crore will be launched for the farmers of the country, which will directly benefit the farmers. Giving this information, the country’s Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that on this occasion the Prime Minister will launch two major programs – Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Self-Reliance Mission for Pulses i.e. Pulses Mission.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana, many steps will be taken to promote farming and improve the earnings of farmers in 100 backward and low production districts of the country. With this scheme, facilities like irrigation, storage, production and agricultural loans will be further improved. Also, under the Pulses Mission, the target is to increase the production of pulses from 24.2 million tonnes to 35 million tonnes by 2030-31. For this, the farming area will also be increased, so that the country can become self-sufficient in pulses.

Apart from this, more than 1,100 projects will be inaugurated and the foundation stone will be laid under this program, the total cost of which is more than Rs 42,000 crore. These include infrastructure development related to animal husbandry, fisheries, food processing and farming. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also honor Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Co-operative Societies and agricultural innovators.
