MP Flats Inauguration Today: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new multi -storey flats for MPs on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in New Delhi at around 10 am today. 184 type-VII flats have been built here. During the program, PM Modi will plant vermilion in the campus and will hold talks with the workers involved in the construction work.
This new housing complex is designed keeping in mind the needs of MPs. It uses modern facilities and green technology, which costs less energy and is environmentally friendly. This project has been prepared as per the rules of GRIHA 3-Star Rating and National Building Code 2016.
What is its characteristics?
These flats have been designed keeping in mind the environment. It has a system of renewable energy, energy savings technology and proper management of waste. Construction has used advanced technology, causing flats not only strong but also seismic. Modern security arrangements have been installed throughout the campus for security.
Completely convenient for disabled people
This campus is also completely convenient for the disabled. Each flat is about 5,000 square feet, which has enough space to live and work. To make the functioning of MPs easier, arrangements have also been made for offices, houses for employees and a community center.

Why did this project become?
Actually, there was a shortage of good housing for MPs for a long time. MPs were facing problems due to lack of existing housing space and old. In view of this, this new project was started. The land has been used better by constructing a tall building and the cost of maintenance has also been kept low. This new housing complex will not only provide modern and comfortable living facilities to MPs, but will also create a better environment for their functioning. The project is built keeping in mind both the parliamentary needs and environmental protection of modern India.
