There is news of great relief for those going from Delhi to Dehradun. The long awaited Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is now completely ready. According to official sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi can inaugurate this expressway on April 14, i.e. Ambedkar Jayanti.

Preparations for the inauguration program have also started in Saharanpur. After the commissioning of this expressway, the journey from Delhi to Dehradun will become much easier and faster.

Now Dehradun will be reached in just 2 and a half hours, not 6 hours

Currently, if a person goes from New Delhi to Dehradun, it usually takes 5 to 6 hours. Sometimes this time increases even more due to traffic jams.

To reduce this problem, Delhi-Dehradun Expressway was planned. This expressway, which was completed in about four years, will now bring a big change for the passengers. After its launch, the distance from Delhi to Dehradun can be covered in about two and a half hours. This will save time for passengers and also reduce fuel consumption.

Completion certificate received last month

According to the information, this expressway had received the completion certificate only last month. However, the inauguration was postponed due to the Prime Minister’s schedule not being fixed. Now a plan has been made to inaugurate it on April 14 during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Saharanpur.

These districts of Uttar Pradesh will benefit greatly

12 km long green corridor will become the biggest attraction

The most special thing about this expressway is its 12 kilometer long elevated green corridor. This corridor is built over Rajaji Tiger Reserve. It is considered to be Asia’s largest elevated wildlife corridor. Its specialty is that the road has been built at a high height from the ground so that there is minimal impact on the forest and wildlife. Under this corridor, wild animals like elephants, tigers and deer will be able to easily roam on their natural paths, while vehicles will pass above. In its design, care has also been taken that the noise of the vehicles should at least reach the forest.

Tourism and trade will get a new path

Experts believe that after the opening of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, tourism in Uttarakhand can get a big benefit. People of Delhi-NCR will now be able to reach Dehradun or surrounding hilly areas in a very short time on weekends. Besides, the business and local economy is also expected to get a new impetus in the districts of Uttar Pradesh through which this expressway is passing.
