PM Modi to visit Saptmandir in Ayodhya
The Sapt mandir refers to seven temples within the perimeter of the walls of the main Ram Mandir; they were all constructed recently with the new Ram Mandir inside the Parkota wall. The famous temples have been built in honour to pay homage and highlight the roles of important people who played a significant role in the life of Lord Ram and the narrative of the Ramayana.
The 70-acre temple area aims to create a comprehensive spiritual and educational experience for visitors and to make them learn about Lord Ram’s life and sacrifice.
Sheshtvar temple location
The Sheshavtar Mandir is dedicated to Lord Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Ram, who played a significant and equal role during the tale of Ramayana. He is considered an avatar of Sheshanaga, the divine serpent on whom Lord Vishnu rests.
The temple is situated on the west side of the main Lakshman temple, on the bank of the river Sarayu. The site marks an important milestone as it is considered a fort of Lord Lakshman during the Treta Yuga. The completion of the temple marks a big milestone for the country and the followers in the history.
