New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi replied to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, February 5. During the speech, opposition MPs started sloganeering. On this, PM Modi said that considering Kharge ji’s age, he should be allowed to sit and raise slogans. After this the opposition walked out of the House. In his speech of about 1 hour 27 minutes, PM Modi made a scathing attack on Congress and the opposition. Let us know the main points of his speech.
1- Developed India and the decisive phase of the 21st century
The Prime Minister said that the President has expressed confidence in the bright future of India. The first quarter of the 21st century has been completed and the second quarter will be as decisive for India as was the period of independence in the last century. He said that the country is at a critical juncture and now is not the time to look back.
2- Young India and increasing global attraction
PM Modi said that India is getting younger day by day, which is a big opportunity for the country. The world is recognizing India’s talent. The youth of India have dreams, determination and potential, which is taking the country to new heights.
3- India becomes a ray of hope in global challenges
The Prime Minister said that today India is among the countries that provide solutions to the world’s problems. The balance of high growth and low-inflation shows the strength of India’s economy. He said that before 2014, India was called Fragile Five, but today India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.
4- New World Order and India’s growing role
PM Modi said that after Covid, the world is going through a new global situation and a new global world order is being formed. The system that was created after the Second World War is now changing and the world is leaning towards India. The Prime Minister said that today India has become the voice of the Global South. In the last few years, India has made trade deals with 9 big countries of the world. He said that earlier no country used to deal with India, today the situation has changed.
5- Target on Congress: Lack of vision and willpower
PM Modi said that after analyzing the speeches of Congress Prime Ministers from the Red Fort, it is clearly visible that they had neither vision nor willpower. He said that Congress had created such an image of the country, which is still taking time and energy to improve. The Prime Minister said that today India is riding on the Reform Express. Decisions are being taken in the country on the basis of policies, which has increased the confidence of the world. India is now fully prepared for global competition.
6- Banking reforms, decline in NPA and currency scheme
The Prime Minister said that before 2014, the country’s banking sector was in crisis. Today NPA has come below 1%. Under Mudra Yojana, unsecured loans worth more than Rs 30 lakh crore were given to the youth, so that they became self-reliant. PM Modi said that earlier PSUs were considered to be closed institutions. Today the same PSUs are earning record profits and getting big orders from India and abroad. The dream of Make in India is coming true. Modi said, Congress has not made any concrete plan for small farmers. We transferred Rs 4 lakh crore directly into the accounts of farmers under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which gave new strength to the farmers.
7- Change from Planning Commission to NITI Aayog
PM Modi said that during the time of Congress, the Planning Commission was away from the ground reality. After 2014, NITI Aayog was formed, which worked rapidly. Development has reached backward districts and change is visible in areas like Bastar. The Prime Minister said that through the ‘Pragati’ platform, stuck projects worth Rs 85 lakh crore were completed, many of which were pending for 30 years.
8- Congress’s thinking vs Modi’s thinking
PM Modi said that Congress only imagines, while his government works on implementation. He said that Congress leaders considered the people as the problem, whereas their government believes that the 140 crore countrymen are the solution. The Prime Minister said that the opposition insulted the President and violated the dignity of the Constitution. He also expressed strong objection to the statements related to North-East, Sikh community and martyr families.
9- Reply on slogans of ‘Modi’s grave’
PM Modi said that some people raise slogans of “dig Modi’s grave”. He said that they do not like decisions like removal of 370, peace in North-East, action on terrorism and giving relief to the poor. This is the reason why they raise slogans of digging Modi’s grave. The Prime Minister said that 25 crore people came out of poverty, electricity reached more than 18 thousand villages, 4 crore poor people got permanent houses. He said that power is a medium of service for him.
10- Resolution of Developed India 2047
PM Modi said that his aim is to make India a developed nation by 2047. He said that Modi worships those people whom no one asked before and their blessings are Modi’s strength.
