London: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met King Charles III at Sandringham House on Thursday as part of his official visit to the United Kingdom. During the meeting, Modi presented a plant of Davidia Involukreta ‘Sonoma’ to Raja, which is usually known as ‘Sonoma Dow Tree’ or handkerchief tree.

The Prime Minister apprised King Charles III about the progress made by India in the renewable energy sector to promote sustainable development.
He also discussed ways to cooperate and promote his shared approach regarding climate change and stability. The Prime Minister and King Charles also discussed the methods that Britain and India can work together in the Commonwealth. PM Modi thanked King Charles for joining the name of a tree mother.
