Military relations will increase between India and Japan
Under the agreement, India and Japan will expand military cooperation through joint exercises more often by incorporating their three armies (Army, Navy and Air Force). Both sides also agreed to share defense technology and jointly detect the possibilities of production of equipment. Navy cooperation will be extended with strict action against more vessels tour, coordination to protect sea routes and piracy and other crimes.
India-Japan will increase cooperation on important minerals
This agreement also goes beyond traditional defense matters. This includes intimate cooperation in areas such as terrorism combat, disaster relief, cyber security, defense research and even important minerals necessary for modern industries. The two countries are also committed to sharing information on new and emerging security risks.
The Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) said that the aim of the joint announcement is to find out opportunities for each other’s special areas of priorities, such as terrorism fighting, peace installation and cyber security as well as assessment of emerging security risks.

Mea described the agreement as a new phase in India-Japan partnership. Said that it is an independent, open and peaceful Hind-Pacific to his shared view. The agreement also talks about regular interaction between the National Security Advisers of the two countries, ensuring intensive, long -term cooperation.
