ISRO-JAXA Chandrayaan-5 Mission Partnership

Taking a big step in the space sector, the two countries announced cooperation in the Chandrayaan-5 mission under the Lupex (Lunar Polar Exploration) program. This will further strengthen India-Japan’s space partnership.

Defense Industry Cooperation

India and Japan released a new security cooperation declaration and agreed to carry forward the defense industry innovation and manufacturing.

10 trillion yen investment

Japan promised 10 trillion yen (about Rs 5.5 lakh crore) in the next 10 years. It will have special focus on smes (small and medium industries) and startups.

Green Energy and Supply Chain Initiative

India-Japan launched the Sustainable Fuel Initiative and Battery Supply Chain Partnership. This will strengthen green energy, energy security and infrastructure.

Exchange program of 5 lakh people

Both countries announced an exchange program of 500,000 people. It will work in 50,000 skilled Indian professionals in Japan, which will open new talent and employment opportunities.

Bullet train project

In India, discussions on Shinkansen Bullet Train Project went ahead and agreed to explore the possibilities of expanding it on other routes.

India-Japan Defense Industry Forum

The two countries decided to revamp the India-Japan Defense Industry Forum. Along with this, new business forums will be launched in Kansai and Kyushu regions.

Sme collaboration forum

India and Japan launched SME Collaboration Forum. This will benefit each other’s forces and new economic partnerships will be made to the small and strong industries of both countries.

Sustainable fuel and farmers’ livelihood

There will be research on biofuel and biogas technology through sustainable fuel initiative. Along with this, this step will prove to be important towards increasing the income of farmers and ensuring energy security.
