What is PM Kisan Yojana?

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an important scheme of the Central Government, under which farmers are given financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year. This amount is given in three equal installments. Every four months, Rs 2,000 is sent directly to the bank accounts of the farmers. The objective of this scheme is to support small and marginal farmers in the expenses of farming.

Who has received the 21st installment?

The government has already sent the 21st installment to the farmers of some states. Money was transferred to the accounts of farmers of Uttarakhand, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the last week of September. In fact, farmers had to suffer huge losses due to heavy rains, floods and landslides in these states. Therefore, the Central Government paid them first as relief.

When will the remaining farmers get the money?

The rest of the farmers of the country are still waiting for the 21st installment. According to many media reports, this installment can be released in the second or third week of November. It is being told that this process will start only after the results of Bihar Assembly elections (14 November). The previous i.e. the 20th installment was released on August 2, 2025, and on an average the next installment is given at an interval of every four months. In such a situation, there is every possibility of money coming by mid-November.

What is required to get the installment?

If you are a beneficiary of PM Kisan Yojana, make sure that all your documents are updated. It is necessary to complete e-KYC, Aadhaar number linked to bank account and land verification of land. If any of these processes remains incomplete, the installment may get stuck. Farmers can complete these updates by visiting their nearest CSC center or PM Kisan Portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
