PM Kisan: There has been a stir among crores of farmers across the country regarding Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi), one of the most ambitious schemes of the Central Government. The financial assistance of Rs 2,000 each, given thrice a year, not only meets the minor expenses of farming, but also acts as a great support to the farmers. Till now, 21 installments have been distributed under this scheme and now all eyes are on the 22nd installment. Since the previous installment was released on 19 November 2025, the time for the next installment is now near.
Farmers can get a big gift before Holi
According to media reports, the government is preparing to give this gift to the farmers before the festival of Holi. It is expected that the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Yojana can be released any time after 24 February 2026. However, no official date has been announced by the government yet, but looking at the pattern of old installments and the timing of the festival, it is believed that the government can transfer the money in time so that the colors of Holi are not spoiled. It is noteworthy that this scheme was started in the interim budget of 2019 and today it has become the world’s largest ‘Direct Benefit Transfer’ (DBT) scheme.
Which farmers will get Rs 4000 in their accounts?
There is a special discussion about this time’s installment regarding the amount of Rs 4000. Usually Rs 2000 is sent under this scheme, but this time many farmers may get Rs 4000. This is not a bonus, but it is the right of those farmers whose previous installment was stuck due to some technical reason or non-completion of paperwork.
Those eligible farmers who could not get the money for the 21st installment, and have now rectified their deficiencies, will be given the money by combining the previous and current installments. That means, Rs 4000 will be transferred directly to their account. Rest of the farmers in normal condition will get only Rs 2000 as usual.
Your money can get stuck due to just one mistake
If you want money to come into your account without any interruption, then you need to be a little cautious. The government has made it clear that money will not be released without e-KYC. This step is very important to bring transparency in the scheme.
If you have not yet got e-KYC done, then go to PM Kisan Portal and get it done immediately through OTP or by visiting your nearest CSC center through biometric method. Apart from this, new farmers will also have to complete the application and verification process as soon as possible to avail the benefits of the scheme.
Check your status like this
Before the installment is released, it would be wise to know whether your name is in the list or not, and whether your e-KYC process is complete or incomplete. For this you do not need to run anywhere.

- On the right side of the homepage, you will get the option of Know Your Status, click on it.
- Enter your registration number and fill the captcha code shown on the screen.
- After this, as soon as you click on Get Data, complete information will appear in front of you.
