New Delhi: The first leg of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 12 will end tonight with two clashes set to conclude the second week of the season. U Mumba will be in action against Patna Pirates, whereas Dabang Delhi and Gujarat Giants will wind up the Vizag leg on September 11, Thursday.

U Mumba will take on Patna Pirates at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Vizag on September 11, Thursday. Mumba lost their last match against Telugu Titans yesterday and will look to bounce back in their final match of the first leg of PKL 12, while Patna are coming off an impressive victory over in-form Puneri Paltan.
The central focus of the match will be on star raiders Mumba’s Ajit Chouhan and Patna’s Ayan. Both are left raiders and leading the raiding pack of their respective sides.
Ayan started the season with some quiet performances but roared back in the last few matches as he scored 21 raid points in the last match against Puneri Paltan. On the other hand. Chouhan has been a spearhead for Mumba’s attack by scoring two Super 10s in four matches, but due to an injury, he opted out of the last game.
Mumba’s win can take them to the top two positions, whereas Patna’s victory can move them to the top five spots in the points table.

To conclude the Vizag leg, unbeaten Dabang Delhi will battle against struggling Gujarat Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium on September 11, Thursday. Delhi haven’t lost a single game in the ongoing season, as they won four out of four matches and will look to regain the top position in the points table by defeating Gujarat.
Gujarat have lost three out of four matches and currently are in the second last position in the table. Their skipper, Mohammedreza Shadloui, hasn’t clicked yet in the new jersey, and Gujarat fans will hope Shadloui leads his side from the front.
Delhi’s skipper Ashu Malik has been brilliant in the season so far, scoring 61 raid points in just four matches, and is currently on a four-match streak of Super 10. Shadloui will be a key challenge for Ashu in the contest, but will the struggling phase of Gujarat’s skipper stop in-form Delhi’s captain?
