In the 57th match of the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Jaipur Pink Panthers won a thrilling manner against Haryana Steelers. In this match played at Chennai’s SDAT Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium, Jaipur made a brilliant comeback in the last minute despite falling behind by 10 points at one time and won 37-36. The match was full of thrill for kabaddi fans, where both teams did not give up till the end.
Jaipur defeated Haryana by 1 point
At the beginning of the match, Haryana Steelers performed a strong game. The pair of Vinay and Shivam Patere scored four points in the first 10 minutes with brilliant raids, making their team a 10-4 lead. Haryana gradually caught its rhythm and achieved a seven-point lead with a score of 20–13 by the end of the first half. Jaipur Pink Panthers, who were seen under pressure in the first half, did not give up and started trying to return to the game slowly.
In the second half, Jaipur changed its strategy. Till the 25th minute Haryana was ahead of 24-17, but the Super Tackle of Jaipur again made a way for him. Iran’s raider Ali Samadi brought Haryana under pressure in the 28th minute before tackling the Do-Or-Dai Red. U Mumba makes a strong comeback
In the second match of the day, U Mumba returned in a brilliant style and defeated Tamil Thalaivas 42-24. In this one -sided match, U Mumba did not give any chance to the hosts with the strength of his strategy and defense. After three consecutive defeats, this victory was to boost morale for U Mumba. At the beginning of the match, both teams were at 5-5 tails till the seventh minute. Tamil Thalaivas, who had come to avenge the defeat of the previous matches, gave a tough fight. But U Mumba took a two -point lead by two super tackle by the 10th minute. Lokesh completed his high-five in the 12th minute, which strengthened Mumba’s raid. After this, the third Super Tackle took the score to 13-9, which led U Mumba to take a 16–11 lead in the first half. During this, Mumba earned eight out of 16 points from defense.
In the second half, Tamil Thalaivas had a chance to return, but U Mumba’s defense did not give him any relief. In the 25th minute, star raider Sandeep Kumar put the super red and brought the score to 20-12. In the next minute, another Super Red of Sandeep allotted Thalaivas, making U Mumba a strong lead of 25–13. Sandeep scored the third consecutive Super-10 (12 points) this season, which made the match completely in favor of Mumba. U Mumba was holding the lead of 23-20 till the 35th minute, but in the last minute she once again surely won Thalaivas and confirmed the victory with a score of 42-24.
