PKL 2024: Pawan Sehrawat shares special bond with Telugu Titans coach Krishan Hooda

Pawan Sehrawat, the star Indian Kabaddi player, opened up on his special bond with Telugu Titans coach Krishan Hooda.

In a heartfelt moment during the post-match press conference after the Telugu Titans’ victory over Bengaluru Bulls, the Titans captain Pawan Sehrawat shared insights into his bond with the veteran, who has played a big part in his career.

This relationship, rooted in mutual respect, has flourished beyond team rivalries. Pawan expressed, “Since Season 9, whenever there’s a match, I take his blessings before any game. Even today, before any match in the stadium, I meet him to seek his blessings.”

The Telugu Titans achieved their second win of PKL season 11 with a narrow 28-26 scoreline. Ashish Narwal contributed significantly with 9 points, while Pawan added 5 more to the team’s total. The victory was a testament to their teamwork and strategic planning.

Pawan praised Coach Hooda’s influence on him, revealing that the coach treats him like family.

“Coach sir has made me like his son. He even says he loves me as much as his own son. So, these aren’t blessings for winning, but for playing well and giving my best,” Pawan shared.

Discussing the team’s success, Pawan highlighted their collective effort and strategic prowess. “No team here is weak. Each has scored 25-25 points, with excellent left and right combinations,” he noted. He also commended their ability to contain strong raiders through effective strategies.

“When a franchise and coach show complete trust in their captain and give 100% charge, it makes a difference,” Pawan explained. Regular discussions are held to maintain coordination and enhance performance, sometimes involving up to ten meetings daily.

Pawan emphasised the importance of every point in the league due to the close competition among teams. “Every point is important in this league. Look at how close all teams are – some have won three matches more, some have lost three matches more,” he remarked. The key lies in bouncing back from defeats and playing cohesively as a unit.
