New Delhi: Dabang Delhi continued their brilliant form in the Pro Kabaddi League season 12 on Wednesday after thrashing Telugu Titans 33-29 at the SMS Indoor Stadium. After trailing by five points in the first half of the contest, Neeraj Narwal stood up for the side with nine points and he was supported by brilliant High Fives from Saurabh Nandal and Fazel Atrachali.
Telugu Titans got to an early lead with help of a successful raid from Vijay Malik and continued to build on the initial momentum as Shubham Shinde came up with a firm tackle to make it 2-0. The Titans continued to maintain their dominance over the Delhi side with Bharat scoring a raid point. He didn’t stop their as he followed it up with a strong tackle to send Ashu Malik to the bench which pushed their lead to 4-0.
Dabang Delhi then came into action opening their account through a well-timed tackle by Surjeet Singh. Manjeet then came up with a successful raid which cut the deficit to 5-2 but Neeraj earned a point for his side reviving the Delhi captain and reducing the gap to 5-3. Delhi then started to grab the momentum slowly and fought hard in the second half taking the game into their control and top the table.
Meanwhile in the second match of the day, defending champions Haryana Steelers replicated the result of last year’s finale as they thrashed Patna Pirates by 43-32 in an interesting clash in Jaipur. In last year’s final, the Steelers had registered a fantastic nine-point victory over the three-time champions and they replicated their efforts they grabbed a sensational win in Wednesday’s game.
