Piyush Goyal, Fadnavis, Om Birla extend birthday wishes to BAPS Pramukh Mahant Swami Maharaj

Senior political leaders extended warm birthday greetings to BAPS Pramukh Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj, praising his lifelong commitment to service, discipline and compassion and highlighting his global spiritual influence.

Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal called Mahant Swami Maharaj “a living example of service, self-control, sacrifice and compassion.” Highlighting BAPS’ global footprint, Goyal said more than 700 temples have been built worldwide under his guidance and over 360 educated youths from India and abroad have taken vows of selfless service. He added that Mahant Swami Maharaj’s “more than five lakh handwritten letters” and guidance on family and moral values have inspired people “to live a cultured, value-based and fearless life.” “His teachings are not merely sermons; they are the art of living,” Goyal said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis extended greetings on the 92nd Janma Jayanti Mahotsav of the BAPS spiritual head, calling him “a revered spiritual guide of our times.” Fadnavis echoed references to the construction of over 700 temples globally and the initiation of more than 360 youths into saintly diksha. He also noted a Guinness World Record achieved on February 2 for the largest simultaneous Hindu text recital organised by BAPS’ International Students Forum at Atladara in Gujarat.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla described Mahant Swami Maharaj’s life as “an inspiration to millions of people around the world.” In his message, Birla said the spiritual leader’s emphasis on “service, simplicity, discipline and compassion” has brought positive change to families and society. He also noted that temples built under Mahant Swami Maharaj’s guidance and his messages for youth continue to shape lives even today. “May his blessings continue to guide society on the path of humanity, harmony and universal welfare,” Birla said.
