5 place for shradh: The time of Pitrupaksha is to remember the ancestors and pay their reverence for them. This is the time when we pay tribute to our late ancestors through Shraddha and Tarpan. It is believed that during this time the ancestors come to the earth and receive the pindadan made by their descendants, which gives them salvation. Generally, people go to major pilgrimage places like Shraddha Karma, Prayagraj or Kashi. But, if you are not able to go to these places for some reason, then there is no need to get upset. Five such places have been told in the scriptures where you can easily do Shraddha.
How long will Shraddha Paksha be 2025?
According to the Panchang, this year Shraddha Paksha will start on 7 September 2025, Sunday and end on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Shraddha deeds will be performed for the entire 15 days. In these days, every person can perform Shraddha according to the date of their ancestors.

In the cowshed
Gau Mata is considered very sacred in Hinduism. Doing Shraddha Karma in Gaushala is very virtuous. It is believed that by performing Shraddha in Gaushala, the ancestors directly get liberation in Pitriloka.
Under the banyan tree
Banyan tree is considered a dev tree in Hinduism. In this tree, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are considered to be the abode of the three gods. By sitting under the banyan tree, the ancestors are satisfied and their soul gets peace.
In a forest
If you are away from the city, you can also perform Shraddha in a forest or forest. Such places are also considered sacred and by performing Shraddha here, it also results in as much fruit as in a pilgrimage place.
Panty
If there is a holy river or sea near your house, then you can also do pindadan on its banks. This place is also considered very suitable for Shraddha. By performing Shraddha on the banks of the river, the ancestors are pleased and blessed.
In the south direction of your house
If it is not possible for you to go to the above mentioned places, then you can perform Shraddha at your home. For this, sit in the courtyard or south direction of the house and do pindadan. The south direction is considered the direction of the ancestors. While performing Shraddha at home, follow the entire law and provide food to the Brahmin.
