What are the rules of Janeu in Pitrupaksha?

- Wear it with chanting, you should wear janeu while chanting Vedic mantra like “Yajnopavitam Paramam Holy”.
- Change when impure, if the thread of janeu is broken, impure or as opportunities like eclipse are passed, then new janeu should be taken immediately.
Shraddha and its relationship between Tarpan
When Tarpan is done in Pitrupaksha, the person takes water and sesame in his hand. At that time, by wearing janeu, the fruit of tarpan reaches the ancestors directly. It is believed that if Janeu is not worn, then ancestors do not accept the tarpan.
