Ancestral Shraddha has special significance, but ‘Magha Shraddha’ falling on Trayodashi Tithi is a day which is considered very special compared to other Shraddhas. This year, this special day is falling on Friday, September 19, 2025. The importance of this day is not only limited to paying tribute to the ancestors, but it is also considered a powerful solution to get rid of Pitridosh. According to astrology and religious beliefs, Magha Nakshatra is related to the ancestors. When Shraddha is in the combination of Trayodashi Tithi and Magha Nakshatra, its fruit increases manifold. Benefits of Magha Shraddha

How to do Magha Shraddha?
Tarpan: On the day of Shraddha, get up early in the morning and take a bath and wear clean clothes. After this, meditate on your ancestors by facing towards the south direction and offer it with water.
The offering of libations of water to the gods: Make a body with flour, rice, barley or sesame and offer it to the ancestors. It is a symbol of reverence and respect for him.
Brahmin food: It is considered extremely auspicious to feed Brahmins on this day. If possible, provide them with devotion and give them Dakshina. If this is not possible, you can provide food to a poor or needy person.
Cow food: It is also very beneficial to feed the cow after Shraddha.
Donation: Food, clothes and other items should be donated according to your capacity.
