The Peepal tree is considered very sacred and revered in Hinduism. According to religious beliefs, the Peepal tree resides in Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh Tridevas. It is believed that during Pitra Paksha, the ancestors come to the earth for 15 days and live in the Peepal tree.
