Day 2 of the Rise Up Championship – Pickleball By The Bay 2025 in Chennai saw top seeds and big names cruise into the finals across categories at India’s first-ever PWR 1000 event.
Women’s Singles
Mihika Yadav beat Rakshikha Ravi 11-5, 11-1 to storm into the final. She will face Snehal Kishor Patil, who edged past Gurleen Singh 11-7, 11-7.
Men’s Singles
Top seed Aman Kartikeya Patel outclassed Divyanshu Kataria 11-4, 11-8. In the other semifinal, Arjun Manoj Singh survived a thriller against Ammol Rajesh Ramchandani, winning 11-8, 11-10.
Women’s Doubles
Rakshikha Ravi and Sindoor Vineet Mittal defeated Pearl and Naomi Amalsadiwala 11-6, 11-9. Snehal Patil and Joshika Premkumar overcame Urvi Abhyankar and Shreya Chakraborty 11-4, 11-8 to book the second spot in the final.
The men’s doubles final saw top seeds Divyanshu Kataria and Ronav Paresh Motiani live up to expectations, defeating the Singh brothers, Aditya and Arjun, 11-3, 11-8. While the result went to the favourites, the Singh brothers impressed with their spirited campaign.
In mixed doubles, Himansh Mehta and Snehal Patil overcame Divyanshu Kataria and Pearl Amalsadiwala 11-6, 11-4. Snehal, who reached three finals across categories, was one of the standout performers of the tournament.
The week-long event by the Chennai coastline not only crowned champions but also showcased India’s growing depth in pickleball. With packed stands, music concerts, and fierce rallies, the PWR 1000 format proved why the sport is fast emerging as a major force in the country.
