Bihar Pt Teachers Salary Hike: The Government of Bihar has increased the honorarium of physical education instructors in middle schools to Rs 16,000, as well as increased honorarium of night watchdog to Rs 10,000. A total of 36 proposals have been approved in the cabinet meeting.
Patna News: The Bihar government has increased the salary of physical education and health instructors and cooks working in the middle schools of the state. The proposal was approved in the Bihar cabinet meeting held on Tuesday. A total of 36 proposals were approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Physical teachers and cooks increased salary
In the meeting, the salary of physical teachers and health instructors working in middle schools has been increased by Rs 8000 per month and Rs 200 per year, which has been approved for paying a total salary of Rs 16000 and Rs 400 annual increment from August 1. In the cabinet meeting, the honorarium of Rs 5000 per month to the night watchdog working in secondary, higher secondary schools of the state was increased to Rs 10000. Apart from this, in the cabinet meeting, ‘Bihar State School Teacher Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Bet Rules 2025’ has also been approved.
Approval of creation of 712 posts in Agriculture Department
Under this new manual, the appointment process, transfer policy, disciplinary action and service conditions will be made clear and transparent. In the cabinet meeting, more than Rs 284 crore has been approved for land acquisition for the industry in Kutumba zone of Aurangabad district. Apart from this, the creation of 712 posts in the Agriculture Department has been approved in the meeting. The meeting also approved the formation of Bihar Agriculture Subordinate Service Category-5 (Plant Protection) Rules 2025.

94 crore approval for digital library scheme
In the cabinet meeting, more than Rs 94 crore has been approved for the Chief Minister’s Digital Library Scheme. The formation of Bihar Transport Regional Stenographer Cadre (Recruitment and Promotion) Rules 2025 has also been approved. Bihar State School Teachers (Appointment, Transfer, Disciplinary Action and Service Conditions) (Amendment) Rules 2025 have also been approved in the meeting. In the meeting, the amount of Rs 650 per month given by the state government to the cook co -assistant working under the Mid -Day Meal Scheme has been increased to Rs 1650.
