After back-to-back single-digit scores, Phoebe Litchfield returned to form and slammed a century in the all-important semi-final against India to create history.
The left-handed batter etched her name in the history books as she breached the three-figure mark. Litchfield scored 119 off 93 balls. Batting with a strike rate of 127.96, Litchfield hit 3 sixes and 17 fours. Courtesy of her century, Australia recovered well from a forgettable start and breached the 300-run mark.
Phoebe Litchfield creates history
Phoebe Litchfield created history and became the youngest to slam a century in a Women’s World Cup knockout game. She is 22 years and 195 days old. She also became the third Australian to hit a century in an ODI WC knockout game. Apart from that, Litchfield is now the second-youngest Australian to slam a century in history.

Ellyse Perry also shone with the bat and slammed 77 off 88 balls. The star all-rounder hit two sixes and six fours in her knock. Australia have been undefeated in the tournament so far. They are the defending champions.
Winner to face South Africa in final
The winner of the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup semi-final will take on South Africa in the final on Sunday (November 2). SA registered a one-sided win over England in the first semi-final of the tournament.
Courtesy of Laura Wolvaardt’s 169 off 143 balls, SA registered a big total of 319 on the board. She and Tazmin Brits provided a dream start to SA and added 116 runs for the first wicket. Chloe Tryon gave a perfect finishing touch to SA and remained unbeaten on 33 off 26 balls.
England lost their three wickets in the first 3 balls. Nat Sciver-Brunt and Alice Capsey added 107 runs for the second wicket to keep England in the game but they were bowled out for 194, losing the game by 125 runs. The final will be played in Navi Mumbai.
