Wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean clothes. Take a pledge to fast. In the auspicious time, install the idol of Lord Ganesha on a red cloth. Anoint Ganesha with Ganga water and Panchamrit.
Offer vermillion, Akshat, and Durva (21 bales) to Bappa. Durva is very dear to Lord Ganesha. Offer modak or laddu to God. Recite Ganesh Chalisa and finally perform aarti with ghee lamp. Donate food or clothes to the poor as per your capacity.
