If you are leaving home today i.e. on March 22, 2026 to fill the tank of your car, then it is very important for you to know the latest fuel prices before reaching the petrol pump. Crude oil prices have once again gained momentum in the international market. The situation is that crude oil has crossed the level of $ 100 per barrel. Along with this, a continuous decline is being seen in the Indian rupee against the dollar. Amidst these two major economic changes, the country’s government oil marketing companies have released new rates of petrol and diesel at 6 am today.
Crude oil crosses 100 dollars
According to the rules, the country’s oil marketing companies decide fuel prices every morning at 6 am on the basis of international crude oil prices and foreign currency exchange rates. At present, due to the price of crude oil crossing 100 dollars per barrel and the weakness of the rupee, there is a huge pressure on the oil companies to increase the prices.
However, it is a matter of relief that at present the companies have not directly imposed this burden on the common customers. You will be relieved to know that there has been no change in the base price of normal petrol and diesel in the country after October 30, 2024. Marketing companies are still trying to provide relief to customers by bearing this huge pressure themselves.
Those filling premium oil got a shock
Even though the prices of regular fuel remain stable, if you use premium quality oil in your vehicle, your expenses have increased. Indian Oil had increased the prices of its premium petrol ‘XP95’ by Rs 2 per liter on March 20. After this increase, its price in the capital Delhi has now reached Rs 101.89 per liter. At the same time, the relief is that the prices of premium diesel ‘XG’ (XG) are currently calm and it remains stable at the price of Rs 91.49 per liter.
