The English singer, 32, revealed that there was “overlap” at the end of her engagement with Malik, 33, and his relationship with on an episode of the podcast that came out on Wednesday, June 10.
“When you go through heartbreak, it is hellish. You can’t eat. You can’t sleep. You feel horrendous. You feel abandoned and you don’t feel good enough, and you feel like you’ve been left for something better,” Edwards said of her breakup with the alum.

She continued to say that she “felt like the world was then looking at me, laughing at me.”
Edwards said she felt Malik had a less difficult time with the breakup because there was “a bit of an overlap” with his next relationship.
“When you’re moving on with somebody else, you always get on better. When you’re the one left behind, that’s when it’s hard. Because it’s like, ‘Oh s—, they’ve left me for someone more beautiful. Someone better than me,’ ” she said.
“Then you have a song that they’ve written about you, but then someone else is in the video. It was one thing after the other after the other,” the star remembered, referring to Malik’s song “PILLOWTALK.”

Edwards, who is to , said the experience “made me realize that was very unhealthy.”
“You can say it was young puppy love or whatever, and you’re like whisked away with it. And I think now that I’ve experienced what healthy love is, it’s so nice. It doesn’t make you feel sick to your stomach all the time,” she said.
