Pedro Acosta heads to Le Mans with medical clearance

Last week, Pedro Acosta underwent surgery to correct a compartment syndrome issue in his right arm. Now, he is one step closer to being able to compete in the MotoGP French GP.

The Red Bull KTM rider underwent medical checks this Tuesday in Barcelona – receiving clearance to travel to Le Mans in order to attempt to line up for the sixth round of the season.

However, as is standard procedure in these situations, this is not the final clearance: Acosta will still need to pass medical checks with MotoGP’s official medical team on Thursday.

After five rounds, the Spaniard sits in tenth place in the championship, having achieved his best personal result of the year so far in Jerez with seventh place. At the moment, he leads teammate Brad Binder and is the top KTM rider.
