Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Peddi has made a thunderous debut at the box office, emerging as one of the biggest openings of the year.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the sports drama witnessed a good turnout across domestic and International markets on its first day in theatres. Supported by positive word-of-mouth and fan celebrations, the film has delivered impressive figures both in India and overseas. With collections crossing the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide on its opening day, Peddi has begun its theatrical run on a promising note.
Peddi Box Office Collection Day 1: Ram Charan Starrer Registers Massive Rs 112.49 Crore Worldwide
Ram Charan’s Peddi has kicked off its theatrical run with impressive box office numbers. According to Sacnilk, the sports drama earned Rs 51 crore on its opening day. The film achieved these numbers across 12,412 shows nationwide. Its India net collection stood at Rs 69.50 crore, while the India gross collection reached Rs 82.49 crore.

The overseas market also played a key role in the film’s opening-day performance. Peddi grossed Rs 30 crore internationally, taking its total worldwide gross collection to Rs 112.49 crore. The Telugu version emerged as the main contributor to the film’s earnings, collecting Rs 47.20 crore on Day 1. Other language versions added to the total, with Tamil contributing Rs 45 lakh and Malayalam bringing in Rs 10 lakh. State-wise collections further show the dominance of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, which together generated Rs 48 crore. Karnataka contributed Rs 5.75 crore, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala added Rs 1.50 crore and Rs 25 lakh respectively. The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 67.92 percent, rising from morning shows to a strong 76.69 percent during night screenings.
Praise pours in from Chiranjeevi
Set in rural Andhra Pradesh during the 1980s, Peddi follows a determined villager who uses sports to unite his community while standing up to powerful people. Following the release, Chiranjeevi congratulated Ram Charan and the entire team.

The megastar praised director Buchi Babu Sana, producer Venkata Satish Kilaru, and key supporting cast and technical crew including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, A. R. Rahman, R.
