Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the upcoming sports action drama introduces Ram Charan as Peddi Pehelwan, a rugged village wrestler whose physical strength mirrors his determination and sense of duty. The film is currently in production and is scheduled to release in theatres on April 30, 2026.

The teaser of Peddi sets the tone with earthy visuals and a rustic atmosphere. Ram Charan appears in a raw, grounded look, performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy sacks of grain. The sequence highlights his transformation into a strong rural character. Later, he enters a wrestling arena, holding a traditional Hanuman gada, reinforcing the pehelwan identity that defines the character.
The teaser was shared in multiple regional languages by the film’s production banners Vriddhi Cinemas and Mythri Movie Makers, signalling the project’s wide appeal across Indian audiences.

Peddi is expected to combine sports drama with rural storytelling. According to early reports, the plot revolves around a cricket tournament set in a village backdrop, blending competitive sport with emotional stakes.
The film boasts a large ensemble cast alongside Ram Charan. Actors Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu and Boman Irani appear in key roles. Earlier, the makers introduced Janhvi Kapoor’s character Achiyamma, described as a lively village woman with a spirited personality.
