Peddi Box Office Day 13: Ram Charan Starrer Slows In Second Week, Earns Rs 317 Crore

Buchi Babu Sana’s Peddi, starring Ram Charan in the lead, and Janhvi Kapoor in a supporting role, released in theatres on June 4 with paid premieres on June 3. The sports action drama opened to massive expectations and enjoyed a strong start at the box office during its opening weekend.

Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film continued to be a crowd puller. However, as it entered its second week, collections began to show a gradual slowdown. The film’s makers had recently announced that Peddi has become the highest grossing South Indian film of 2026.

Peddi Day 13 Box Office: Ram Charan Film Slows in Second Week, Collects Rs 317 Crore

According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, Peddi earned an estimated Rs 3.45 crore net in India on its 13th day. This is lower than the Rs 4.10 crore net it collected on Day 12. The film was screened across 3,898 shows nationwide on Tuesday. The film’s total India net collection now stands at Rs 223.55 crore, while the India gross has reached Rs 264.92 crore. Peddi completed its first week with an impressive Rs 193.55 crore net, though second-week collections have naturally slowed.

On Day 13, the film also added approximately Rs 35 lakh gross from overseas markets, taking its overseas total to Rs 52.20 crore. This pushes the worldwide gross collection to Rs 317.12 crore. The film recorded moderate occupancy across regions on Day 13. The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 22.19 percent, with morning shows at 15.69 percent, afternoon at 21.23 percent, evening at 21 percent, and night shows at 18.69 percent. The Hindi version registered an overall occupancy of 18.39 percent, with improving numbers through the day and night shows emerging strongest at 28.67 percent.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana remained the strongest markets on Day 13, contributing Rs 2.80 crore gross. Karnataka added Rs 35 lakh, Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 10 lakh, while the rest of India accounted for Rs 71 lakh gross.

Peddi Lyricist Backs Objectification Scenes

Apart from box office numbers, Peddi continues to be talked about for its depiction of the female lead Janhvi Kapoor. Many viewers felt the character was objectified and lacked a proper role, leading the filmmaker to apologise and announce changes to some parts. Recently lyricist Anantha Sriram defending creative freedom in filmmaking. Speaking at the film’s success event, Sriram said he is uncomfortable with the idea that creators should change their artistic decisions based on public opinion.
