‘Peddi’ Bookings: Awaits Ticket Price Clarity?

As Ram Charan’s much-awaited Peddi gears up for its June 4 release, trade circles are once again focused on a familiar question in Telangana: what happens to ticket prices?

The uncertainty is not new. Earlier this year, The Raja Saab, which arrived in January 2026, found itself caught in a last-minute pricing dilemma.

Producers and exhibitors spent anxious hours waiting for clarity from the Telangana government on ticket price revisions.

With no government order in hand, the film’s release plans remained uncertain until late in the night. Eventually, bookings opened around 11:30 pm with regular ticket prices.

The situation was completely different during the Sankranthi release of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad. The government order was in place well ahead of time, allowing a smooth rollout.

The film secured permission to charge up to Rs. 600, including GST, for a designated premiere slot. With clarity available from the start, exhibitors and audiences faced no confusion.

Interestingly, no price hikes were given to Ustaad Bhagat Singh in Telangana, eliminating any such uncertainty.

Now all eyes are on Peddi. Given the scale and budget of the film, premium-priced premiere tickets could play an important role in accelerating recovery and helping the film achieve a strong opening.

However, that will depend on how early the government order arrives. If approval comes at least a couple of days before release, bookings can proceed smoothly.

Will there be last-minute tension or an early green signal? And how much influence will Chiranjeevi’s rapport with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy have in the process?
