Easy recipe for making peanut pudding. Peanut Halwa Recipe
Material
Peanuts – 1 cup
Ghee – 3 to 4 tbsp
Milk – 1 cup
Sugar – ½ cup (as per taste)
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Chopped dry fruits – 2 tbsp (almonds, cashews optional)
How to make Halwa
- First of all, lightly fry the peanuts on low flame. When it cools down, remove its peel and grind it coarsely in the mixer. Take care not to make a paste.
- Heat ghee in a pan. Now add ground peanuts to it and fry on low flame while stirring continuously. When the aroma starts coming and the color becomes light golden, then do the next step.
- Now slowly add milk to it and keep stirring continuously so that lumps do not form. The mixture will start thickening. Add sugar to the halwa and mix well.
- Finally add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits. When the halwa starts leaving the pan and the ghee starts separating, turn off the gas.
- Serve hot peanut halwa with dry fruits on top. This halwa is a perfect combination of both taste and health in cold winter evenings.
