Peanut Butter Recipe
Talking about seasonal items in winter, peanuts are a great snack which is not only best for family time, but it is also very beneficial for your health, because peanut plant is an excellent source of protein. For this reason, fitness freaks make peanut butter a part of their diet, but the peanut butter available in the market contains many types of preservatives, including oil, which harm your health. You can prepare good peanut butter without oil in simple steps at home.
According to the US Department of Agriculture, 25.8 grams of protein is found in 100 grams of peanuts. It also contains 8.5 grams of dietary fiber, 92 mg calcium, 4.58 mg iron, 168 mg magnesium, 376 mg phosphorus, 705 mg potassium, 3.27 mg zinc, 1.14 mg copper and 1.93 mg manganese. Apart from this, some vitamins of B complex along with Vitamin E and fatty acids are also found in peanuts. Now know the recipe of butter made from peanuts.
What ingredients do you need?
You will need 300 grams of peanuts i.e. about 2 cups, 1/4th spoon of black salt, 1 spoon of maple syrup or honey. If you want, you can increase the quantity of honey a little according to the taste. Apart from this, you will need 1 spoon desi ghee (this is optional). Now know what is the recipe of peanut butter. If you are taking 500 grams of peanuts or more, then you should take a little more sweetener and salt.
Peanut Butter Recipe
- The first step is to put all the peanuts in a thick bottom pan and fry them on low flame. You have to keep stirring it continuously, otherwise the peanuts will burn.
- It will take you about 20 minutes to roast peanuts, because it has to be roasted on very low flame so that all the rawness is removed.
- When peanuts are roasted, a pleasant aroma starts emanating and the color of its peel changes slightly. At this stage, take it out in a plate and let it cool for some time.
- When the peanuts cool down, put all the peanuts in a clean towel and mash them well. With this, all the peels will be removed in some time, otherwise it takes a lot of time.
- If you want crunch in peanut butter, then after removing the skin from the peanuts, put a few of them in a mixer jar and grind them coarsely on pulse mode and take them out in a separate bowl.
- Now put all the remaining grains in the mixer grinder and grind them well until they get a smooth texture. If there is excessive dryness during grinding then add one spoon of desi ghee in it.
- When a smooth paste is formed, add honey or jaggery to it and run the mixer once or twice in pulse mode so that it mixes well.
- In this way your peanut butter will be prepared, which does not contain any kind of preservatives and is very healthy for your health.
- You can store peanut butter in an airtight glass jar, which can be stored for many days without keeping it in the refrigerator and it does not spoil at all.
